We completed a safe moving job in Fort Worth, TX. In this case, the customer needed help moving four large Cabela’s gun safes and one large TL30 jewelers safe out of a commercial building and into another commercial building. Because safes are heavy and difficult to handle, we used specialized equipment to complete the move safely.
Details of This Safe Move
The gun safes weighed approximately 1,500 pounds each and the jeweler’s safe was approximately 3,500 pounds. We had to raise our trailer up to dock height to load the safes. Then at the new location we had to bridge off a step and over a threshold with our aluminum plates, and then drop the trailer ramps at an angle onto the plates to unload the safes through commercial double doors. We did this to eliminate having to get all the safes over the two steps. Because of these challenges, we planned the move before starting. We used equipment designed for heavy safes to control movement and protect the property. As a result, the safe was moved without damage.

What Made This Move Unique
Every safe move is different. In this case, the biggest challenges were loading all the safes from an underground dock, and the sketchy drop off location with limited access to the raised doorway. Therefore, we adjusted our approach to ensure everything was handled safely.
