We completed a safe moving job in Plano, TX. In this case, the customer needed help moving a International Jeweler’s Safe from a jewelry store to a new jewelry store. Because safes are heavy and difficult to handle, we used specialized equipment to complete the move safely.

The safe weighed approximately 2,800 pounds. In addition, the move involved stairs we had to avoid coming out of the first store. Because of these challenges, we planned the move before starting.

What Made This Move Unique
Every safe move is different. In this case, the biggest challenge was bypassing the steps. You can see we raised up our trailer, enabling us to place our ramps directly inside the doorway, this enabled us to avoid having to move the safe down the steps, which is not an option on a safe this heavy. Then we used our winch to slowly pull the pallet jack and the safe up the ramps and onto our safe moving trailer. You can see we use a strap to hold the safe on the pallet jack and two heavy duty straps to secure the safe to the trailer during it’s journey. Therefore, we adjusted our approach to ensure everything was handled safely.
